Can You Actually Deploy It for Clients Today?
The Hype
Google Analytics has added drag and drop dashboards that let users rearrange dashboard cards more easily. The update is useful for agencies because reporting views can be organized around the metrics each client actually cares about.
The Technical Reality
This is not a new AI model or major automation system. It is mainly a reporting interface improvement.
The important part for agencies is what it does not change. The reported update still has limits around segments, API access, and card level comparisons. Standard properties can use up to 15 cards, while premium properties can use up to 30.
That means agencies should not treat this as a replacement for their reporting automation.
For a digital marketing agency managing dozens of clients, the real opportunity is still outside the dashboard. Client data may come from Google Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console, Meta, CRM systems, SEO tools, and spreadsheets. Someone still has to collect it, check it, format it, explain it, and deliver it.
This is where an automation layer using n8n or Make can still create more value. The workflow can collect data, validate it, identify unusual changes, generate a client friendly summary, and send the finished report automatically.
For GEO and search visibility work, agencies can also connect Search Console data with ranking, content, and AI visibility checks rather than relying on one Analytics dashboard.
